The designated orientation week was a bustling period during which the IRO extended a warm welcome to all new students within the premises of the Faculty of Economics where the welcome reception was held. Here, crucial information regarding post-arrival procedures in Brno was shared, providing a comprehensive overview of the necessary steps to complete their residency permit. Colleagues from the IRO were readily available to offer detailed explanations and address any queries the students may have had. The students then moved to the Faculty of Social Studies where they obtained all the printed documents.
As part of the orientation activities, new students participated in a guided FSS faculty tour on February 14. Student ambassadors led them through various key locations, commencing from the entrance and progressing through the library, atrium, courtyard, and culminating on the terrace with a breathtaking view. The first group, consisting of full-degree students, commenced their tour in the morning before attending presentations by the amazing presentation of the library, International Relations Office and program guarantors. The second group, comprising Erasmus students, started their day with presentations from the International Relations Office, library and Erasmus coordinators, concluding with their own faculty tour.
This well-organized orientation week not only equipped incoming students with essential information but also provided them with a firsthand experience of the faculty, fostering a smooth transition into their new academic environment.
