Kateřina joined FSS as a substitute for Lenka Olšáková at the beginning of March 2020. The selection procedure for the position of assistant was the last personal meeting before the declaration of a state of emergency due to the coronavirus pandemic and her departure to the virtual world. Really at the last minute! Kateřina took charge of the secretariat “remotely”, spending hours on ZOOM. In spite of all this, she has settled into her new position superbly, with a vigor and energy all her own. She does her job diligently, and reliably. She takes care of administrative tasks related to habilitations, registering contracts, and navigates the nooks and crannies of IS with admirable brilliance.
And her colleagues appreciate that she is also excellent at other activities, especially when she brings her delicious jams for tasting in the summer. Always in a good mood, full of energy, willing to help, patient, determined to find new methods and make them a reality - that's Kateřina Majdanová.
“Cooperation with Katka Majdanová is very pleasant. She is meticulous, fast, organizationally capable, reflects on her work, and comes up with various suggestions. And as active as she is in the office, she is also active in her personal life. I really wish that all the events and activities planned for this year work out as she wishes,” said Faculty Bursar Pavlína Kadlčková.

This time, we spoke with Lenka Kuchyňková, a new addition to the Communication Office, who is responsible for organizing faculty events and managing the department’s administration.
This November at the Faculty of Social Studies was marked by a vibrant varied program, engaging events, and visits from notable personalities. Among the highlights were Tea with the Dean and the graduation ceremonies, which you can read more about in other articles in this newsletter. The faculty, however, also hosted several other interesting events.
