The implementation is being carried out by UP Constructions s.r.o. The expected completion date was set for September 8th, but as is usually the case with the reconstruction of technological pipelines in older buildings, unexpected complications arose that had to be resolved. Swollen plaster had to be scraped down more than expected, plasterboard partitions had to be demolished and completely replaced with new ones. The biggest mystery was revealed on the 5th floor, where the entire subfloor had to be replaced. And so, despite the hard work of the builders, the work dragged out and only during September is it slowly being completed floor by floor. However, the commencement of in-person teaching was successfully started on the 25th of September We hope that the beautiful new sanitary facilities and especially the new plumbing will now serve us all well for at least another 50 years!

This time, we spoke with Lenka Kuchyňková, a new addition to the Communication Office, who is responsible for organizing faculty events and managing the department’s administration.
This November at the Faculty of Social Studies was marked by a vibrant varied program, engaging events, and visits from notable personalities. Among the highlights were Tea with the Dean and the graduation ceremonies, which you can read more about in other articles in this newsletter. The faculty, however, also hosted several other interesting events.
