What experiences make you a great ambassador?

I love working with people and I’ve been living in Brno for almost a year now, so I can share about Czech culture as well as the logistical details of moving to/living in Brno. If you’re still deciding about applying or taking admission for the CDS program, I’d also love to chat about classes and other academic details. Choosing to move abroad to study is a big decision, and I’m happy to answer any questions you may have to make the decision easier.

What advice would you give to new students?

Ask for help. Moving abroad is a big transition and there are plenty of resources available to support you, whether it's academic or something like finding housing. Don’t hesitate to email me with your questions and I’ll be happy to point you in the direction of whatever resources I know for your situation.

Check the syllabus at the beginning of the semester so you can plan ahead. Some of our courses seem very chill for the majority of the semester, but have multiple big projects/exams due in the last few weeks. Make sure you look ahead so you can enjoy all that Brno and neighboring cities have to offer, especially during Christmas time.

What do you love most about Brno?

Brno has a lot to offer, but it’s also a relatively small city, so everything is very accessible. There are so many cafes and parks within walking distance of the faculty, and the public transport system is very extensive and reliable so it's equally easy to get anywhere that's too far to walk.
