What experiences make you a great ambassador?

As a master's student in Energy Policy Studies at Masaryk University, I have firsthand experience navigating the academic and social aspects of the program. My background includes studying and working in multiple countries, which has given me a strong understanding of international student life and the challenges of adapting to a new environment. Additionally, my academic focus on energy policy allows me to engage in meaningful discussions about the program’s content, structure, and career opportunities. My ability to communicate clearly and supportively makes me approachable to prospective and new students.

What advice would you give to new students?

My biggest advice is to be proactive—academically and socially. Engage with your professors and classmates, as networking is a huge part of the program and the energy sector. Take advantage of the university’s resources, including research opportunities, student organizations, and guest lectures. Also, don’t hesitate to ask questions; whether it’s about coursework, career paths, or living in Brno, there’s always someone willing to help. Finally, enjoy the experience! Studying abroad is not just about academics but also about personal growth and making lifetime connections.

What do you love most about Brno?

Brno is the perfect mix of a vibrant student city and a relaxed, fun and liveable environment. It has a strong international community, affordable living costs, and a great balance between history and modern life. The café culture is fantastic, and the city offers plenty of cultural events, bars, and outdoor spaces. I also appreciate its central location in Europe, making travel to other cities easy. Most importantly, Brno is welcoming—you never feel like a visitor but part of a dynamic and diverse community.
