Popis The article discusses the role of tutoring as a tool to support primary school pupils with social disadvantages, a student population often trapped in a vicious circle of structural inequalities that prevent them from succeeding educationally and personally. The text presents a qualitative study that focuses on the perception of social disadvantage through the professional preparation of pre-service teachers. We argue that tutoring is an effective inclusive support measure that can help cultivate teachers' sensitivity to the social aspects of education. The study results show that the pedagogical practice of tutoring in families with social disadvantages influences pre-service teachers' personal and professional development, helps alleviate social isolation and pupil failure, and prepares teachers for the challenges of diversity in a globalized world.
