Our faculty recently hosted an exciting event for international students called " FSS International Snack," where cultural unity and delicious food came together in a celebration of global flavors. With the aim of fostering connections among students from diverse backgrounds, the event showcased a variety of finger foods prepared by our International Office´s members with the help of the student ambassadors representing Czech cuisine.
Students from around the world also participated by bringing their own traditional snacks, creating a vibrant array of dishes that delighted everyone's taste buds. Attendees enjoyed an assortment of culinary treats, including French pancakes, Azerbaijani snacks, Indian delicacies, and specialties from Ukraine, Estonia, and many more. This melting pot of flavors provided a wonderful opportunity for students to share their culinary heritage and engage with one another.
In addition to the delectable food, the event featured a fun game of cultural bingo, which encouraged students to learn more about each other's backgrounds while mingling in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. With about 80 students, including exchange students, participating, the International Snack event was a resounding success, leaving everyone with a fuller belly and a deeper appreciation for the diverse cultures represented in our faculty.
We look forward to organizing more events like this in the future to continue celebrating the rich tapestry of our global community!
On December 11, 2024, our students gathered to celebrate Czech Christmas, an event hosted by the International Office. They enjoyed decorating gingerbread cookies and creating their own Christmas cards, immersing themselves in the festive spirit.
Despite the less-than-ideal weather, many international full-degree and Erasmus students joined the Faculty of Social Studies for a memorable hike around Brno Lake to Veveří Castle on October 26, 2024. The 8.5 km trek, which took approximately 2.5-3 hours, brought everyone together to enjoy the scenic route.
