Employees from the Office for Research and Project Support participating NTNU for Collaborative Research Exchange

From June 2–6, 2025, the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) hosted a group of ERASMUS mobility visitors from partner universities across Europe. The visiting delegation included also our colleagues Jitka Hotárková and Jitka Wolfová from the Office for Research and Project Support, Faculty of Social Studies.

Under sunny skies, full-degree and exchange students, including our student ambassadors, enjoyed a scenic walk along the Svitava River towards Bílovice nad Svitavou.

Evacuation Drill: It's Possible to Exit the FSS MU Building from the Back Too

A fire drill took place at the Faculty of Social Studies, Masaryk University, on Wednesday, April 16. The evacuation of students and staff from the building took 11 minutes. The faculty management evaluates the event positively.

Last week at the Faculty of Social Studies was marked not only by the celebration of Faculty Day but also by the very first edition of the Masaryk University Staff Training Week (MUST Week). On December 11, 2024, our students gathered to celebrate Czech Christmas, an event hosted by the International Office. They enjoyed decorating gingerbread cookies and creating their own Christmas cards, immersing themselves in the festive spirit.

FSS Autumn Hike with international students

Despite the less-than-ideal weather, many international full-degree and Erasmus students joined the Faculty of Social Studies for a memorable hike around Brno Lake to Veveří Castle on October 26, 2024. The 8.5 km trek, which took approximately 2.5-3 hours, brought everyone together to enjoy the scenic route.

Our faculty recently hosted an exciting event for international students called " FSS International Snack," where cultural unity and delicious food came together in a celebration of global flavors. Various Czech snacks were served either salty finger food or sweet " medovník" cake or delicious " karlovarské oplatky" wafers.
